PROJECT TVR TAIMAR

Customer Build
This car is currently in build for a customer. The works being undertaken are extensive and have involved a full body off chassis and body refurbishment. The car is being fitted with an in house refreshed Ford 302 Roller Cam engine with alloy heads and T5 gearbox. The car is being built up to a lovely fast road specification with a conservative 300hp.

PROJECT TVR 1600M

This car is currently on the ramps undergoing a full mechanical refurbishment. All 4 corners have been comprehensively stripped, blasted and powder coated. The differential has been replaced. The engine is a Scholar built 1700 Crossflow, which has been mated to a T5 gearbox. The Bodywork was re-sprayed a number of years ago and the car was then laid up in a garage for a 10 year slumber. Once the car has been fully re-comissioned it will receive some sympathetic conservation work to its existing paintwork and trim with a view to running it in a preserved state with all of the 46 years worth of patina it carries well.

This car has been plucked out of Blackpool where it was last used in the early 90’s. The car was involved in a disagreement with a mobile crane and came off worst. The then owner stripped the car down and the chassis was repaired by a TVR chassis man then painted blue and that’s as far as it went. 35 years later we dragged this car from its garage and brought it home. As and when time allows this car will be built up into a modernized M series car to showcase some of the work which can be undertaken at Transportation and Vehicle Restoration Services. This car is for sale and can be bought as is or fully restored to customer specification. When space becomes available the car will undergo a full body off refurbishment to showcase enhancements which can be undertaken to later model cars. Sound useable condition as is but can be purchased at any stage of restoration. Just 53,000 miles.

TVR Project Zetec Vixen S2

This car was found in a very sorry state in a Bolton back garden. It was built with a view to showcasing what can be done to an older model TVR to make it suitable for everyday use. The original body shell was completely restored with some slight tweaks to enhance its looks without spoiling all of the original classic lines of the original design. The chassis was replaced with a brand new unit and the car was built up to incorporate a 2.0 ford Zetec engine, 2D ignition management, new wiring, side draft carbs, Type 9 5 speed gearbox and Ford differential. TVR Project V8 289 HI-PO

This early model TVR coupe was built into a very competitive racecar and competes in various UK Classic race series from time to time. The car retains its original body and its original brazed chassis. It is fitted with a 289cu in Ford HI-PO specification V8, Borg Warner ST10 close ratio gearbox and Salisbury rear differential. The car was built in house and incorporates many bespoke motorsport parts to ensure that it is both regulation compliant but competitive. It has been owned by me for some 20 years now and is part of the family.
